Chad and Brooke Knudson, sole owners of the Scottsdale mainstay off Scottsdale Road just south of Thomas and the newer Tempe location, have announced their intention to franchise the new D’Lite Healthy On The Go restaurant concept.

Healthy fast food has been the staple at this well-known kitchen and coffee house in Scottsdale and Tempe for years. The Shea location offers a new spaciously designed eatery perfect for social and business get-togethers. With ample indoor and outdoor seating and the same great selection of hand-crafted coffee, tea, smoothies and shakes, including Nitro Toddy, the world famous Breakfast Buzz that fans love. Fresh made-to-order breakfast wraps and sandwiches, salads, soups, bowls and burgers can be conveniently served through dine-in, pick-up or drive-thru. The restaurant offers breakfast and lunch items all day from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

D’Lite Healthy On The Go announced their third location, which recently opened at 7337 E Shea Blvd. Suite 100 in Scottsdale.

In celebration of the third location, D’Lite will offer 50 percent off their menu all day on January 21, during their grand opening celebration. Guests will have an opportunity to sample some of their famous smoothies such as the “Breakfast Buzz,” sandwiches, salads, soups and more. Visitors will have a chance to enter to win one of four gift cards valued at $25 each.

“It is our mission to provide a healthy, delicious and convenient option for people on-the-go,” says Chad Knudson, owner of D’Lite Healthy On The Go. “With the help of our franchisees, D’Lite is excited to be adding more locations throughout the valley to serve the community a healthy alternative to fast food.”

The first franchisees on board came to fruition after a meeting with Paco Patel and Ajay Amin, business partners and Brooke and Chad Knudson owners of D’Lite. Ajay and Paco have years of experience in the hospitality, business and management fields including owning two Genghis Grill locations in the Valley. They were ready to explore a healthy fast food alternative and upon meeting Brooke and Chad and trying D’Lite menu offerings, the relationship was born.

“Once we tried the “Breakfast Buzz” and some other menu items we instantly knew we wanted to be involved with the concept, not with just one location but several across the entire valley,” says Ajay Amin, business partner. “We met with the Chad Knudson, the CEO of what is now D’Lite Healthy On The Go in February and felt that we were a perfect match.” After a successful meeting with Brooke and Chad Knudson, at the time known as D’Lish Drive Thru, a business relationship was born.” Within seven months they opened the first franchisee restaurant at Scottsdale Rd and Shea Blvd in Scottsdale.
