Food News Media, publisher of QSR magazine, FSR magazine, and their related digital and event properties, has named Danny Klein editorial director. In this role, he will drive all aspects of the company’s editorial content.

Klein has been with Food News Media since 2015. He was originally hired as an associate editor for FSR magazine and later became Food News Media’s director of digital content, responsible for driving content and traffic for QSRmagazine.com and FSRmagazine.com. In the latter role, he introduced initiatives around breaking news, financial coverage, and operational content, which resulted in increased open and click rates for the company’s e-newsletters and quadrupled traffic to both industry-leading websites.

“This is an opportunity I am looking forward to,” says Klein regarding his new role. “Both QSR and FSR are rightly known for the quality of their content, and I’m looking forward to elevating that quality further with content strategies in print, digital, and in person that improve the success of foodservice operators.”

As part of the editorial structuring, Nicole Duncan, who served as editor of FSR magazine, has been elevated to the role of managing editor for Food News Media, working with both FSR and QSR. She has been with the company since 2015 and has also served stints as associate editor of both magazines.

“I’m excited to work with Danny in this new capacity,” says Duncan. “Our team will continue to push the envelope through in-depth restaurant coverage that serves operators across the industry.”

“Danny and Nicole are talented media professionals who are known and respected throughout the restaurant industry,” says Greg Sanders, group publisher of Food News Media. “We could not be more enthusiastic about these moves and the positive impact they’ll have on our business.”
