"Daphne’s has a long history of aggressive, prosperous growth,” shared Steve Fricker, president of Daphne’s Greek Cafe. “The vision of Daphne’s remains to serve Greek to America, and licensing franchise ownership across the country is the next natural step in fulfilling that vision.”
Officially, Daphne’s Greek Cafe has filed UFOCs (uniform franchise offer circulars) in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Texas and West Virginia. Registration in these new states affirms that Daphne’s has met regulations by filing the current UFOC and meeting additional disclosure requirements. Typically the offer or sale of a franchise is prohibited within a state until a franchise offering circular has been filed on the public record with, and registered by a designated state agency.
Potential franchisees must be well-capitalized to open high quality cafes and meet the aggressive development schedule. Additionally, potential franchisees must have a proven track record as excellent multi-unit restaurant operators. The company has chosen to require the franchise developer to open a number of units, within market areas over a period of time.
