Denny’s, Inc. today announced it is suspending immediately its supplier relationship with House of Raeford located in Raeford, North Carolina, pending further investigation of allegations of mistreatment of animals prior to slaughter. The allegations surfaced in a video purportedly shot in a House of Raeford facility by representatives of an animal welfare group.

“Denny’s has long advocated humane animal handling practices among our suppliers,” said Debbie Atkins, Denny’s Director of Public Relations. “In light of the severity of these allegations, we believe it is appropriate to suspend further purchases from this supplier while additional information is gathered,” Atkins said.
