Award-winning chef Lorraine Platman, founder of Sweet Lorraine’s Café & Bar and Sweet Lorraine’s Fabulous Mac n’ Cheez!, is introducing a new breakfast menu to her newest addition to the mac and cheese empire, Mac n’ Brewz!

Mac n’ Brewz! in Detroit will now be serving dishes in the morning, including its new savory Breakfast Wraps. The wraps are made with baked and mashed redskin potatoes, baked organic eggs, and the choice of all-natural chorizo, Applewood-smoked bacon, ham, or pork sausage, and are drizzled in Sweet Lorraine’s Cheddar cheese sauce, then wrapped in a lightly griddled flour tortilla. Roasted vegetables or baked tofu substitution options are available for non-meat eaters.

“Whether you’re stopping in for your morning coffee or breakfast, Sweet Lorraine’s will make a morning person out of you,” Platman says. “Breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day!”

The Breakfast Mac, served with smoked bacon and drizzled with real Michigan maple syrup, will be served all day for early and late risers. Sweet Lorraine’s will also have their house-baked sweets, Caribbean Oatmeal, granola served with milk or Greek yogurt, and fresh fruit.

In addition to offering organic hot or iced coffees and teas, Mac n’ Brewz! will be offering espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, fruit juices, and smoothies. For those seeking a morning buzz, Sweet Lorraine’s will offer Mimosas made with Mawby Refreshingly Tropical Electronica—Michigan’s very own award-winning sparkling white wine. Guests can also heat things up with the South of the Border style Bloody Mary, which is made with tequila and infused with pineapple and hot peppers. Alternative Bloody Mary drinks are served with guests’ choice of any Sweet Lorraine’s mixology infusion.

The first Mac n’ Brewz! location opened its doors in February 2016. In addition to its vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free soups, salads, sandwich wraps, grilled cheese, and made-to-order specialty macaroni and cheese dishes, Mac n’ Brewz! offers more than 30 Michigan-brewed craft beers, spirited infusions, and wines by the glass.

“I’ve spent 30-plus years perfecting my recipes, so it should come as no surprise that our goal is to continue to offer our customers a high level of customization with the new flavors for their macaroni and cheese,” Platman says. “By offering local craft beers, breakfast, and delicious sweets, we want to give our customers an experience in quality and options that is far from the standard quick-service restaurant.”
