A year after announcing its massive national franchise development deal with American Development Partners, Dog Haus, the celebrated gourmet hot dog, sausage and burger craft casual concept, plans to open its first location under the partnership in Rockford, Illinois, on December 16. This is the first of more than 300 locations to open across the nation over the next six years, with six locations currently in development. With many additional franchise deals already underway prior to the ADP partnership, Dog Haus has a projected total of more than 450 stores planned nationwide, including opening its first East Coast location in Bethesda, Maryland, in early 2018.
“It’s great to see this partnership coming to fruition. Starting with Rockford, we’re kicking off opening multiple locations across several states, and we couldn’t be more excited,” says Caleb McMillen, chief operating officer of American Development Partners.
Dog Haus first partnered with ADP in 2016 on the monumental deal—the largest franchise commitment by ADP to date—to rapidly expand the brand and develop new locations across the country, with ADP facilitating the acquisition of land and overseeing construction of the franchises. The deal, which has a projected real estate, construction and design investment value of over $500 million, set Dog Haus firmly on the path to not only becoming a household name, but also one of the fastest growing craft casual concepts in the country.
“We are proud to be partnering with ADP to expand Dog Haus across the country, including opening the first location in Rockford, Illinois on Saturday,” says Shawn Eby, chief executive officer of Goalz Restaurant Group. “Because of our passion for the food and for each community in which we operate, we look forward to introducing Dog Haus to future fans of the brand over the next several years.”
“Bringing Dog Haus to Illinois is another stepping stone in a long and exciting road of store openings across the nation,” says Dog Haus Partner Quasim Riaz. “Dog Haus has established itself as one of today’s fastest growing brands, and our rapid expansion into new and exciting markets is yet another way the brand continues to cement itself as a household name. We’re thrilled to be opening in Rockford this month, giving Midwesterners their first taste of Dog Haus, and look forward to continued growth.”
Concurrent with the opening of the Rockford location, Dog Haus will also open a location in Northfield Stapleton, CO. Projected 2018 openings include Murfreesboro, TN, Belmont, CA, Bethesda, MD, Chicago, IL, Decatur, IL, Georgetown, KY, Romeoville, IL, Slidell, LA, Taylor, MI and Vista, CA during the first quarter. Dog Haus projects to open a total of 40 locations in 2018, with 25 of them as part of the ADP deal. All 300 spots opening under the Dog Haus ADP partnership will be Biergarten concepts, highlighting craft beers on tap from local breweries in addition to the standard hot dogs, sausages, burgers, and fried chicken sandwich that Dog Haus guests know and love. All ADP locations will be operated by veteran franchisees with extensive multi-unit and multi-brand experience under the guidance of the core Dog Haus team.
With Saturday’s store openings, Dog Haus has 28 stores open in seven states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, Illinois and Utah), with additional franchise openings in the works across a total of 19 states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wyoming.
