Dog Haus, the acclaimed gourmet hot dog concept, announced Denver-based chef and restaurateur Alex Seidel as the next chef in their year-long collaboration series in partnership with No Kid Hungry. On the heels of Seidel’s James Beard Award win for Best Chef: Southwest, he is teaming up with Dog Haus to offer the Lambda Lambda Lambda, a lamb and pork sausage topped with tzatziki, feta, diced onion, tomato and pickles, served on grilled Kings Hawaiian rolls. The Lambda Lambda Lambda will be available at locations nationwide from July 1 – August 31, with $1 from each purchase benefitting No Kid Hungry.

“We’re excited to bring a small piece of Colorado to Dog Haus through Alex Seidel’s limited-time sausage creation,” says Hagop Giragossian, Dog Haus Partner. “The Lambda Lambda Lambda is bringing Greek-inspired flavors to our menu for the first time and taking it to the next level.”

Drawing inspiration from his restaurants Mercantile and Fruition, the Lambda Lambda Lambda showcases Seidel’s passion to create approachable dishes made with the highest quality of ingredients, simultaneously reflecting Dog Haus’ accessible menu items and commitment to source proteins that are sustainable, traceable and ultimately better for the consumer. Seidel has worked closely with the Dog Haus culinary team to craft this dish, available for two months only.

“I can’t think of a better way to share my love of elevated comfort food than to create my own spin on a Dog Haus sausage – it’s childhood nostalgia taken up a notch, made with excellent ingredients,” says Chef Alex Seidel. “Working with Dog Haus allows me to spread a small taste of what I’m doing in Denver with those nationwide and I can’t wait to hear what they think.”

Seidel joins Dog Haus’ collaboration series following Chef Ilan Hall, who officially became a member of the Dog Haus team this past May. Throughout the second half of the year, guests can continue to expect epic collaborations from Texas’ Dean Fearing in September, and a partner duo to close out 2018 from LA-based chef Chris Oh, and pastry chef Duff Goldman. By year end, Dog Haus’ goal is to raise $100,000 for No Kid Hungry.

To celebrate the series and continue its efforts to help No Kid Hungry end childhood hunger in America, Dog Haus will be hosting a silent auction and charity event bringing together the culinary talent, public and key No Kid Hungry representatives. Dog Haus Cares 2018 will be held at Santa Anita racetrack’s iconic and exclusive Chandelier Room in December.
