On the heels of the brand’s 8th anniversary, Dog Haus, the gourmet hot dog concept recognized for its all-beef hot dogs, hand-crafted sausages, burgers and craft beer, announced plans to double in size by the end of 2019. Both new and longstanding franchisees have committed to open a number of locations throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland and Texas, and the first Kentucky, Louisiana and New York outposts, spreading the Dog Haus love even further throughout the country.

“Doubling our locations in one year represents a huge moment of growth for our brand,” says André Vener, Dog Haus Partner. “We’re looking forward to introducing our lively atmosphere, chef-driven menu and craft beer program to customers around the country, as we’re true believers that anyone who walks through our doors falls in love with the Dog Haus experience.”

In Texas, father-son franchisees Sandy and Jason Rappaport are set to open 30 Dog Haus locations throughout San Antonio and Houston over the next five years. Jason was born and raised in a franchisee family, as his father Sandy owned and operated all of the Outback Steakhouses in the South Florida region, and later became the main investor and first franchisee for Boston Market and Einstein Bagel Company. Jason then gained personal experience in the business when he became the first-ever franchisee for World of Beer. Together, they will bring their impressive knowledge and decades of expertise to the Dog Haus locations they will operate. Also in Texas, Franchisee Ron Ryan and partner Kirk Hermansen, who are on track to open a total of 20 Dog Haus locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth over the next four years, will open four more restaurants in 2019.

Forever devoted to their home turf, Dog Haus’ expansion plans would be incomplete without growth in California, and in true Dog Haus fashion, it’s promised to be big. In Orange County, franchisee Dan Markel will open a total of 11 locations, with five in 2019 alone.  More so, in San Diego County, three more locations are planned to open in 2019 by franchisees Scott and Henry Lee, who recently opened Dog Haus Biergarten Vista, and who plan to open a total of 13 San Diego County locations.

Dog Haus will also be opening more locations in four other states where they have open locations: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois and Maryland. But their national takeover isn’t limited to familiar territories. The brand is excited to be opening locations in three more states, bringing its gourmet hot dogs, sausages and burgers to Kentucky, Louisiana and New York in 2019. Dog Haus’ signature Haus creations – from Sooo Cali with wild arugula, avocado, tomato, crispy onions and spicy basil aioli; to The Fonz with a spicy Italian sausage, pastrami and mozzarella cheese; and The Freiburger® which tops an all-beef patty with white American cheese, fries, haus slaw, a fried egg and mayo; all served on Kings Hawaiian rolls – along with locally sourced craft beers to wash them down with, are proving the brand’s nationwide appeal.

Updates on opening dates, locations and additional expansion plans are to come in the coming months.
