Domino’s Pizza today announced the selection of Patrick W. Knotts as executive vice president of flawless execution—corporate stores. He will be joining the company on January 15, 2001. He will report to chairman and CEO David Brandon, and oversee the company’s 623 corporate owned stores throughout the United States.

“Pat’s second primary responsibility is to partner with Hoyt Jones, who is executive vice president flawless execution—franchise stores,” said Brandon. “Together they’ll move toward ensuring all Domino’s stores consistently focus on what we call Flawless Execution: making every pizza the best it can be, and providing a superior customer experience.”

Mr. Knotts joins Domino’s Pizza with more than 20 years leadership experience in retail. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of pperations for Mrs. Fields’ Original Cookies, Inc.; responsible for corporate and franchise owned stores.

“Pat has an incredible record of success in store operations, merchandising, marketing and new store development,” said Brandon. “I am also impressed with his proven ability to attract, develop and motivate successful management teams. His experience and qualifications make him the ideal choice for this challenging assignment.

At Mrs. Fields’ Original Cookies, Inc., Mr. Knotts directed store operations for TCBY, Mrs. Fields’, Great American Cookies, The Original Cookie Company, Hot Sam Pretzel Bakery, Pretzelmaker and Pretzel Time. While there, he successfully completed the merger of several different companies, which doubled store counts and system sales, and developed “Best Practice” transition plans during the mergers.
