Dairy Queen continues to bolster its Blizzard of the Month program, with the Brownie Batter Blizzard on the menu for August. Proceeds from the sale of this and all Blizzards from August 9 to August 15 at participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill locations will benefit Children’s Miracle Network.

“At Dairy Queen, we are all about the crave,” said Michael Keller, executive vice president of marketing for International Dairy Queen. “Some of our fondest memories as kids are of licking the beaters and bowl after mom made brownies or a cake. We’re bringing that nostalgia back with the Brownie Batter Blizzard.”

The Brownie Batter Blizzard is made with DQ soft serve blended with double-chocolate brownie batter and fudge brownie pieces.

Also debuting this month, and available through October, is Oreo Scoopables, featuring three over-sized Oreo wafers to be dipped in creamy DQ vanilla soft serve, rich hot fudge, and sweet hot caramel.

Next year, Dairy Queen will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Blizzard Frozen Treat. Since its debut, Dairy Queen has sold nearly 5 billion Blizzards, with Oreo Cookies coming in as the most popular flavor among DQ customers. To heighten awareness of the signature brand, last year Dairy Queen introduced a Blizzard of the Month program with seasonal and new flavors. The launch of the Brownie Batter Blizzard will be supported with national television advertising.
