Back by popular demand, the Dairy Queen system brings back the Confetti Cake Blizzard Treat as the featured Blizzard of the Month for April. The Confetti Cake Blizzard Treat is available in a Waffle Cone for the first time.

An indulgent combination of moist white cake pieces and confetti frosting blended with creamy DQ creamy vanilla soft serve, the Confetti Cake Blizzard Treat is available at participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill restaurants nationwide beginning April 1. Dairy Queen fans can enjoy the Confetti Cake Blizzard Treats in four sizes, including the popular Mini, as well as in a Waffle Cone.

“We want all of our fans to have their cake and eat it too—only this cake is wrapped in a freshly baked Waffle Cone,” says Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ). “What’s great about this is that it’s a treat within a treat and what better way to celebrate than with confetti and cake—two flavors that were made to go together.”

Many Blizzard Treat flavors, including Confetti Cake, can easily be made into DQ Cakes, which are perfect for Easter, holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, and more.

The Dairy Queen system began blending simple combinations of cookies, candies, chocolates, nuts, and fruits with DQ soft serve in 1985 to create the signature Blizzard Treat. The iconic treat has created the served upside-down Blizzard culture and since then, one-of-a-kind flavors such as S’mores, Chocolate Candy Shop and Confetti Cake have delighted Dairy Queen fans as part of the featured Blizzard of the Month program, which began in 2003.
