American Dairy Queen Corporation recently announced its new DQ Grill & Chill restaurant opening in Dundee, Michigan. Conveniently situated at 602 Tecumseh St., the restaurant is locally owned by new DQ operator Ali Salameh.

While following local county guidelines and safety protocols, the restaurant will officially open Monday, March 22 and will serve fans daily through its drive-thru.

“I was inspired to look into Dairy Queen after my daughter worked at a location near us and loved it. I’ve primarily owned businesses in the gasoline industry and was ready to add a new concept to my portfolio. DQ seemed like the perfect fit,” says Ali Salameh. “My family and I are looking forward to bringing the first DQ location to the community and providing classic meals to the brand’s fans in the area. We hope to spread joy and smiles to those across the area who feel a strong connection to the restaurant. March 22 cannot come soon enough for us to start serving our neighbors here in Dundee.”

Ali brings more than 40 years of business experience in the gasoline industry to the table. Managing the restaurant will be a team effort as Ali’s family, including his wife and children, and his long-time employees will help keep the restaurant’s daily operations moving along. The team looks forward to bringing the first ever DQ Grill & Chill restaurant to the Dundee area, filling a gap in the town’s restaurant row.
