Dinosaurs are returning to the big screen, and the Dairy Queen system is planning a Jurassic-sized adventure to celebrate.

The Dairy Queen system is introducing the new Jurassic Smash Blizzard Treat and Jurassic Snack Melt Duos as part of its partnership with Universal Pictures for Jurassic World, the long-awaited next installment of Steven Spielberg’s groundbreaking Jurassic Park series. The Jurassic Smash Blizzard Treat is a cookie mash-up, blending peanut butter cookies with rich chocolate chip cookie dough bites, choco chunks, and DQ signature vanilla soft serve, all topped with a peanut butter drizzle. The Jurassic Smash Blizzard Treat will be served in specially designed Jurassic World branded cups while supplies last and is available now as the featured Blizzard of the Month.

“Blockbuster movies, like Jurassic World, and visits to Dairy Queen restaurants are what summer is all about. Our fans will experience adventure beyond the big screen at Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill locations in June with our limited edition Jurassic Smash Blizzard Treat and Snack Melt Duos,” says Barry Westrum, executive vice president of marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ). “Inspired by the highly anticipated film, our treats and food offerings are bursting with innovative, indulgent flavors that would leave any DQ fan satisfied.”

In the majority of DQ and DQ Grill & Chill locations outside of Texas fans can order Jurassic Snack Melt Duos, including the Buffalo Chicken Baked Wrap, Chicken BBQ Bacon Baked Wrap, or the Chicken Quesadilla Baked Wrap, served with a Mini Jurassic Smash Blizzard Treat. In addition, the featured food menu item in June is the Jurassic $5 Buck Lunch, a value meal that includes any $5 Buck Lunch offering with the option to upgrade a sundae to a small Jurassic Smash Blizzard Treat for just $1 more.  This is the first time the $5 Buck Lunch upgrade to a small Jurassic Smash Blizzard Treat is nationally advertised.
