Dunkin’ Donuts, the world’s largest coffee and bakery quick-service restaurant chain, announced today the signing of a multi-unit store development agreement with Capital Franchise Group Inc. for the development of 34 restaurants in Jackson, Tupelo, Greenwood, and the Southwestern portion of the state of Mississippi. Site selection for potential locations has already begun.

Fred Carl, Jr., of Greenwood is chairman of Capital Franchise Group Inc. Carl is the founder, chairman and CEO of Viking Range Corporation in Greenwood. Joe Sherman of Jackson is the CEO of Capital Franchise Group and Tony Antoon, also of Jackson, is chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Sherman and Antoon have similar positions with Viking Culinary Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Viking Range Corporation.

In addition to the 34-unit agreement mentioned above, Dunkin’ Donuts’ is still seeking new and existing franchisees to purchase a minimum of five restaurants in the surrounding area of Memphis and West Tennessee. Dunkin’ Donuts development of the state of Mississippi is part of an aggressive national growth strategy, which includes expanding in existing markets while entering new cities across the country to help direct the company’s future growth.

Building a network of restaurants also enables Dunkin’ Donuts to invest in a distribution model that ensures consistent, high-quality products that customers expect when visiting a Dunkin’ Donuts location. In an effort to keep the brand fresh and competitive, Dunkin’ Donuts offers franchisees a variety of designs and venues, including free-standing stores, sites within shopping centers and convenience stores, as well as other retail environments.
