The clock is ticking. The stress is mounting. April 15th is right around the corner. But, this year, Dunkin’ Donuts is teaming up with H&R Block in the New York and Philadelphia areas to make tax season a little more palatable.

From Monday, April 4, through Friday, April 8, select Dunkin’ Donuts shops will become H&R Block satellite locations. People can simply drop off their paperwork at participating Dunkin’ Donuts shops and chat about their taxes with an H&R Block representative. Just for doing so, they’ll receive a free medium cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and be entered into a sweepstakes to have their taxes processed for free.

From Monday, April 11 through Friday, April 15, Dunkin’ Donuts will also be serving their coffee and freshly-baked donuts in select H&R Block locations throughout the area.

Why is Dunkin’ Donuts offering this tax time pick-me-up?

According to the recent Dunkin’ Donuts “tax-time” survey* revealing Americans’ behaviors and attitudes when it comes to doing their taxes, twice as many people would rather clean their house (42 percent) or visit with the in-laws (34 percent) than do their taxes (15 percent).

*A recent survey was conducted in order to assess attitudes and experiences with respect to their taxes. The survey was conducted between March 28th and 30th among a sample of 1,000 individuals called by random digit dialing across the United States.
