Dunkin’ Donuts Makes Its Debut in Las Cruces, NM

The long-awaited opening of New Mexico’s first Dunkin’ Donuts in Las Cruces took place on July 16, 2013.

Sizzling Platter, LLC, a Utah-based restaurant management company, opened this location and has additional Dunkin’ Donuts sites planned for Las Cruces.

Sizzling Platter broke ground last December on the new restaurant, which includes a drive thru.

“We are very excited to open this first New Mexico Dunkin' Donuts,” says Ted Morton, Sizzling Platter CEO. “At Sizzling Platter, LLC, we love the Dunkin’ Donuts brand, as it is synergistic with our operating standards.”

The new store employs about 30 local workers.

Sizzling Platter operates and manages restaurant locations across seven western states under the Dunkin' Donuts, Little Caesars, Sizzler, Red Robin, and Hoppers Grill & Brewing Company brands.

This headline is very misleading. There are already Dunkin' units in Albuquerque, so it is definitely not making a debut in New Mexico. Las Cruces yes but that is a city market and not a state.
