Dunkin' Donuts offers a variety of restaurant models to suit any university, including full retail shops and kiosks that are perfect for campus centers, student unions, dining commons, and other high-traffic locations at or near the school. In addition to Dunkin' Donuts' world-famous coffee and beverages, many of the company's higher education locations serve Dunkin' Donuts' full menu of delicious food and beverages that can be enjoyed all throughout the day, including oven-toasted breakfast sandwiches, freshly-made doughnuts, bagels and muffins, and the DDSMART menu of better-for-you items, including two varieties of egg white flatbread sandwiches. Dunkin' Donuts also now serves a full lineup of bakery sandwiches, in varieties such as Ham & Cheese; Turkey, Cheddar & Bacon; Chicken Salad; and Tuna Salad.
For students looking to brew America's favorite coffee in their dorm room or campus apartment, participating restaurants also offer Dunkin' Donuts K-Cup packs for use with the Keurig K-Cup Brewing Systems. DD K-Cup packs are available in five permanent flavors such as Original Blend, Dunkin' Dark Roast, French Vanilla, Hazelnut, and Dunkin' Decaf, and seasonal flavors such as Pumpkin, which is available now for a limited time.
According to Grant Benson, vice president of franchising at Dunkin' Brands, "Universities turn to Dunkin' Donuts to provide a valuable amenity for the entire school community and an important incentive to attract students. Millions of people rely on Dunkin' Donuts' food and beverages to keep them running all throughout the day, and by adding Dunkin' Donuts, universities not only stand out by providing an affordable place where students can enjoy great-tasting food and beverages on campus, but also can distinguish themselves to current and prospective students who want to enjoy America's favorite coffee and maintain a familiar part of their daily lives as conveniently as possible."
Dunkin' Donuts' continued expansion into colleges and universities coincides with the brand's worldwide growth. With more than 7,000 Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the U.S. today, the company has plans to more than double its current number of restaurants in the U.S. over the next 20 years. To support this growth, Dunkin' Donuts has launched new restaurants in several non-traditional locations, including universities, airports, hotels, sports stadiums, amusement parks, and more.
