Dunkin’ Donuts has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with two existing franchise groups to develop nine Dunkin' Donuts restaurants and one multi-brand unit with Baskin-Robbins in Alabama over the next several years.

Existing franchisee Bluemont Group, LLC, plans to develop five new Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the Greater Birmingham area, specifically in Gadsden, Talladega, Anniston, and Oxford. This group operates 22 restaurants throughout Tennessee in Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Nashville, and will also be developing restaurants in Atlanta. Led by Dave Baumgartner, the team's first Birmingham location is planned to open in summer 2017.

Existing franchise group, Shri Ambe, LLC, plans to develop four Dunkin' Donuts restaurants, including one multi-brand unit with Baskin-Robbins, in Montgomery. Led by Sachin Patel, Samir Patel, and Hemen Patel, this team currently operates one Dunkin' Donuts restaurant in Auburn. This group plans to open its next restaurant in 2017.

"Our enthusiastic and dedicated franchisees contribute to both our brands' growth, which has helped solidify our position as one of the fastest growing companies by unit count in the quick-service restaurant industry," says Grant Benson, CFE, vice president of global franchising and business development, Dunkin' Brands. "We are thrilled that these existing franchisees have chosen to expand Dunkin' Donuts' and Baskin-Robbins' presence in Alabama. We know these new restaurants will satisfy a growing consumer demand in the local communities they serve."

Dunkin' Donuts' Alabama franchise opportunities are available in the Greater Birmingham and Huntsville communities, and a limited number of existing operating restaurants are available for purchase. To fuel growth, the company is offering special development incentives, which include reduced royalty fees for three years and up to $5,000 in local store marketing support for timely openings.

An Informational Franchising Webinars will be held on Tuesday, August 16 and Wednesday, August 17 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. (EDT) for candidates interested in learning more about the unique franchising opportunity Dunkin' Donuts offers. Candidates may register online for the webinars.

"As an industry leader in franchising for more than 65 years, Dunkin' Donuts focuses on keeping our loyal guests coming back for more, and as part of the brand's growth throughout Alabama we are looking for qualified candidates with foodservice, operations, and real estate experience to join our team," Benson says.

In an effort to keep the brand fresh and competitive, Dunkin' Donuts offers flexible concepts for any real estate format, including free-standing restaurants, end caps, in-line sites, gas and convenience, travel plazas, universities, as well as other retail environments.
