Edible Arrangements franchisees across North and South Carolina came together to raise $9,369 benefiting the Foundation For The Carolinas (FFTC) Hurricane Florence Response Fund. A total of 48 stores across the two states participated in the fundraiser by donating a portion of their proceeds to benefit the Fund.

“When franchisees across the Carolinas joined together to volunteer and donate fruit cups to people in the affected communities, we saw the devastation first hand,” says Jim Echols, Edible franchisee for more than 13 years, and owner of two locations in Charlotte, NC. “While our efforts made an impact, we knew we wanted to give back more and in an even bigger way, so we’re humbled to be able to make this donation to the community for which we all care so much.”

In response to the impact of Hurricane Florence, FFTC has established a relief fund to support those affected by the unprecedented storm. Donations to the fund will be directed to nonprofits in North and South Carolina providing relief to victims of the storm.

To celebrate the donation, Edible and FFTC held a check presentation on Feb. 25 at the FFTC headquarters in Charlotte, NC. Attendees included Edible Franchisee owners who assisted in the fundraiser and FFTC executives.

“Even though we are months removed from Hurricane Florence, our neighbors on the Carolina coast are still recovering from the storm’s impact,” adds FFTC Executive Vice President Holly Welch Stubbing. “We are grateful for Edible’s generosity and for the impact it will have on the people most in need.”
