Einstein Bros. Bagel Launches Gluten-Free 'Eggels'

    Industry News | September 9, 2020

Einstein Bros. Bagels has partnered with Cuisine Solutions, the largest and most innovative sous vide manufacturer in the world, to create their all-new gluten-free Eggels, available September 17, 2020. The latest offering is the first-ever gluten-free “bagel” made of eggs. These bagel-shaped sous-vide eggs are a culinary innovation, full of flavor and high quality ingredients.

The new low-carb Eggels are made with cage-free eggs and come in two tasty flavors:

Three Meat & Cheese: Made with all-natural nitrate-free bacon, turkey sausage and uncured ham, paired with white cheddar cheese & everything bagel seasoning

Veggie Egg White: This vegetarian option includes bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, portobello mushrooms and spinach with asiago cheese

The unique bagel-shape Eggels are a perfect choice for those craving something other than a bagel, so there is something for everyone on the Einstein Bros. Bagels menu. Using the sous vide method to cook the Eggels keeps the eggs light and fluffy, ensuring this gluten-free breakfast is just as satisfying as a fresh-baked bagel.

“We were thrilled to take our sous vide recipe and combine it with the signature bagel shape, something never done before,” says Jean Rodolphe Vilgrain, VP, Sales at Cuisine Solutions. “We couldn’t be more proud of the quality and taste of Eggels. It will be a great high-protein, gluten-free addition to the Einstein Bros. Bagels menu.”

“At Einstein's Bros. Bagels, we are always looking to provide our guests with exciting and innovative new breakfast options,” said Chef Chad Thompson, Head of Culinary Innovation at Einstein Bros. Bagels. “We’re thrilled to serve the new Eggels, a great choice for our guests who are looking for a new kind of breakfast and an alternative to a bagel. There’s truly something for everyone on the menu.”

Eggels will be offered at participating Einstein Bros. Bagels locations across the country, excluding airport, hotels and university locations. Those looking for the most convenient way to get their Eggels can order through the Einstein Bros.
