El Pollo Loco, Inc. will introduce two Pollo Salads — the Chicken Caesar and the Chicken Fiesta — to its menu.

The chain says the new Pollo Salads will embrace the growing demand for flavorful entrée-size salads and freshly prepared dressings.

The salads, which are prepared to order, feature flame-broiled chicken breast
on a bed of lettuce with fiesta tortilla strips, cotija cheese, and pico de gallo salsa.
Each salad variety then takes on a personality of its own — the Chicken Caesar Salad adds roasted pepitas and creamy cilantro dressing; the Chicken Fiesta Salad adds Cheddar and Jack cheeses, roasted corn poblano, guacamole, sour cream, and zesty chipotle dressing.

“Our new salads resemble those that consumers might find at upscale dining establishments that charge twice as much,” boasts Karen Eadon, chief marketing officer for El Pollo Loco. “What they won’t find anywhere else, however, is the marinated-to-the-bone flavor that El Pollo Loco’s signature flame-broiled chicken gives our new salads.”

The new salads are topped with a Serrano pepper, El Pollo Loco’s signature garnish for its new Pollo Salads. Guests are invited to personalize their salad with any combination of salsas from El Pollo Loco’s salsa bar.

El Pollo Loco’s new Pollo Salads will be communicated to consumers through a mix of point-of-purchase vehicles and promotional coupons.
