Elite Manufacturing Technologies, based in Bloomingdale, Illinois, has been selected to partner in one of the largest outdoor digital drive thru menu board rollouts in quick-service restaurant history by Allure, A Christie Company. The project will deploy digital drive thru menu boards to over 400 Long John Silver’s nationwide over the next two years.

The partnership between Elite, Allure and USSI Global who will be installing the solution, started in March of 2017 and was initiated by Allure. The project began with many meetings, designs and site surveys and ultimately the joint team won the respect of Long John Silver’s and was awarded the contract.

Allure’s selection of Elite for this project was driven by Elite’s unique ability to combine high durability in the designed solution and features rich details in a package that delivered a strong return on investment for Long John Silver’s. The solution being deployed employ’s Elite’s industry-leading capability to meet operating temperatures of -40f to 122f, backed by certified laboratory testing and daylight readability displays of 3500 nits. Another important element to Elite’s design is the wind load capability of 90 mph to 140 mph, which is backed by structural engineered stamped drawings.

The triple digital drive thru menu board features (3) 3500 nit 55” DynaScan displays, which are the brightest commercial displays on the market today. Elite bonds tempered safety glass to these displays using Elite’s proprietary air bonding method. The menu system is also engineered with an attached speaker/mic box, which has never been coupled with outdoor digital menu boards and provides excellent acoustics.

Through the end of November there have been over (35) digital drive thru menu boards installed and the grand total when completed will be (400) with the possibility of more. Currently Elite manufactures (24) to (30) of these DMB’s each month with the same amount being installed each month.
