To celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, May 5-9, Ellianos Coffee Company will donate a Free Coffee Certificate to every teacher in Columbia County, Florida.
“On a daily basis, teachers are shaping the minds of the leaders of tomorrow,” says Christa Pusateri, director of marketing for Ellianos Coffee Company. “This is our way of saying Thank You for a job well done.”
The National PTA founded Teacher Appreciation week to give an opportunity to conduct activities in order strengthen respect and support for teachers and the teaching professional. Teacher appreciation is a week for honoring teachers and recognizing the lasting contributions they make in our lives.
The Columbia County School District honors teachers by placing trinkets, discount coupons, notepads, pens, pencils, and other goodies from many local businesses as a small token of appreciation and to recognize and show them how important they are in the community.
“Teachers don’t receive a lot of praise and this is one way we can express our appreciation and showcase all the dedication and time they give to their profession,” says Dorothy Spradley, district volunteer/education marketing coordinator for the Columbia County School District.
Ellianos president, Mick Rynning, adds, “This donation is part of our Service+1 effort to give back to the community in which we live. Teachers are a very important part of every community.”
This is the third year in which Ellianos Coffee Company has participated in the Teacher Appreciation Week event.
