Charlotte, North Carolina, entrepreneur Phil Rice will celebrate the grand opening of his Einstein Bros. Bagels location at 1039 Providence Road in Charlotte on March 27, 2012. Einstein Bros. will present the first 1,000 customers with a free travel mug, beginning when it open its doors at 5:30 a.m.
“The craveable food and comfortable atmosphere of Einstein Bros. Bagels connect with our neighbors here in Charlotte,” Rice says. “Despite the brand’s small presence here in Charlotte, it already has a huge customer base. There’s tremendous opportunity for growth into several new neighborhoods in the area.”
Rice, 25, is no stranger to quick-service restaurants. He has been in the food business for the last 10 years. Most recently, he oversaw a popular chain of restaurants managing the daily operations of eight franchise locations.
Situated at the corner of Providence and Queens in the Myers Park Shopping Center, the opening marks the third Einstein Bros. Bagels that Rice owns and operates in the Charlotte area.
Rice’s expansion plans include opening 12 more restaurants in the coming years. From now until May, Rice is slated to open three new restaurants. His restaurants contribute to the economic landscape through local business and construction developments while employing upwards of 80 full and part-time staff members.
