Famous Uncle Al’s Hot Dogs & Grille Inc. announced today it has scheduled the opening of a new Famous Uncle Al’s Dogs & Grille restaurant at 1269 Military Highway, Norfolk, Virginia. The new restaurant is located in a Home Depot shopping center and is scheduled to open Monday, July 8, 2008.

Says President Dean Valentino, “With a business model that includes continuing royalty revenue from franchised stores, we are excited about the cash flow that is generated from new restaurants. With a royalty of approximately of 7 percent collected from each store, this perpetual weekly revenue is the lifeblood of any franchise company and is what propelled the Subway and Quizno empires.”

States Director of Marketing, Richard Michael, “With twelve franchised units and six original Famous Uncle Al’s Hot Dogs restaurants operating, we are now preparing to expand the company through a National Campaign to attract area developers and franchisees. Double page ads have been scheduled for publication in Area Developer Magazine and other industry publications. We believe that with continuing financing and marketing and sales efforts, Famous Uncle Al’s Hot Dogs & Grille Inc. will become a national competitor in the franchised restaurant industry.”

Virginia is the “home” of Famous Uncle Al’s Hot Dogs, with the first Famous Uncle Al’s restaurant opened in 1985 by Famous Uncle “Al” Stein. The restaurant continues to operate at its original location. Six original Famous Uncle Al’s Hot Dogs and three franchised Famous Uncle Al’s Hot Dogs & Grille restaurants operate in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area.

The new restaurant is owned by Franchisees Kevin Coleman and Carol Jordan.
