Revel Systems, a cloud-based point of sale (POS) and complete business management platform, announced its latest franchise contract win with FAT Brands. A leading global franchising company in the fast casual and casual dining markets, FAT Brands plans to roll out Revel Enterprise across all Fatburger locations, with 30 locations already live on Revel. The flexibility, scalability and rapid deployment of its innovative POS solution combined with the company’s celebrated customer support made Revel the clear choice for FAT Brands.

Even during these challenging times, restaurants and retailers are accelerating their technology transformations and introducing digital capabilities that better meet customers’ changing preferences, offer ease-of-use, and maximize efficiencies. Recognizing technology as key to survival and market recovery, FAT Brands is modernizing in-store operations and leaving behind its outdated and expensive legacy systems. With plans to standardize all its franchises on Revel’s cloud-based solution, the FAT Brands portfolio includes Fatburger, Ponderosa & Bonanza Steakhouse, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Elevation Burger, Buffalo’s Cafe and Yalla Mediterranean.

“When we looked to choose a new POS solution to future-proof our business, we pursued a holistic approach,” says Andrew Wiederhorn CEO, FAT Brands. “Revel was the only candidate that fit our needs with their flexibility, rich feature set, and desire to be a strategic partner. These qualities made Revel Enterprise the clear choice as our technology partner. Revel has continued to quickly adapt to our needs, especially in these current times.”

FAT Brands is the latest franchise chain operator to choose Revel. Building on its strong momentum, Revel has also recently contracted with The Halal Guys at more than 80 locations, Moe’s Southwest Grill at more than 700 locations, and Buff City Soap at more than 200 locations.

“On behalf of the Revel team, we are thrilled to be the technology partner of choice for a leading restaurant group like FAT Brands. Our platform has become the leading solution for large chains who want to move away from legacy systems to cloud-based POS,” adds Greg Dukat, CEO, Revel Systems. “The flexibility to innovate, which is required to survive in today’s environment, and the scalability to grow are key factors in the decision for these brands to make the switch. Other attractive benefits of cloud systems include the ability for operators to manage seamlessly across multiple locations. Revel’s platform is robust, quick to implement and easy to use. At about a third to a half the TCO of longstanding legacy solutions.”

FAT Brands is implementing several Revel products as part of its deployment. Notable solutions include kiosks to provide better self-service experiences to customers, and Revel Guard XT to remotely monitor all POS and in store devices, stay ahead of maintenance costs, and resolve common technical issues with a single click. FAT Brands is also deploying multiple kitchen display systems (KDS) at each location to eliminate gaps between order placement and kitchen execution. Revel’s open API also allows FAT Brands to easily integrate with key Revel partners, including Restaurant 365 for restaurant management.
