Fog Cutter Capital Group Inc.'s Fatburger restaurant unit announced new restaurants opened in Reseda and Pasadena. The company also confirmed openings in Burbank, Long Beach, and Pomona.

“The company’s strategic focus is to reach 200 units within the next three years, both here in the USand abroad,” Fatburger Chairman Andy Wiederhorn says. “Our international business has grown quickly over the past year and continues to be very healthy. However, we expect 30 percent of these new units to open domestically. In fact, RestaurantChain.net recently placed Fatburger tenth in its quarterly survey of fastest growing restaurant concepts. Since opening in Los Angelesalmost 60 years ago, Fatburger has developed a very loyal following in Southern California, where our customers appreciate our high quality burgers and unique atmosphere.”

The Pasadena restaurant has been very busy during its first month. It is franchisee Mary Shimazaki’s third Fatburger. She and business associate Spyros Vamvas cite their direct access to key executives at Fatburger as one reason they’ve expanded the relationship. “We’re on a first name basis, and as our business partners, they’ve been great about sharing their perspective and enthusiasm for the industry,” Shimazaki says.

Fatburger is a quick-casual takeout and sit-down restaurant serving burgers custom-made to guests’ taste buds. The taste and quality of Fatburger inspires a fierce loyalty among customers that crosses all demographic lines, including Hollywood personalities and sports stars. For more than 55 years, Fatburger has been dedicated to serving big, fresh, 100 percent pure lean beef burgers custom made and grilled right in front of customers.
