Fazoli’s opened its first
international restaurant December 20, in Manila, Philippines.
This is the first unit to open under a 20-unit, five-year
deal with franchisee Real Fast, Inc. The restaurant is also
the largest Fazoli’s, with more than 200 seats.

"This is a significant day for Fazoli’s," says
CEO Kuni Toyoda. "We are very proud to have the Fazoli’s
flag waving across the Pacific. We are sure the concept
will be a big success."

Domestically, franchise growth continues at a healthy pace.
Fazoli’s projects 35 new franchise units will open in its
current fiscal year, and over 200 new franchise restaurants
are committed for development under multi-year agreements.
Fazoli’s will enter the west coast in 2001 under a five-year,
15-unit development agreement for Orange County, California.
