Fazoli’s, the 260-unit quick service Italian chain, has added two restaurant industry veterans to its management team.

Monte Jump has been named vice president of marketing, while Scott Deibert has been appointed vice president of supply chain management and quality assurance.

The announcement was made by Fazoli’s president and CEO Carl Howard.

Until joining Fazoli’s, Jump was vice president of marketing at Carrabba’s Italian Grill. He previously held the same position at Golden Corral. He also worked in various marketing roles during a 14-year career with Pepsico.

Scott Deibert comes to Fazoli’s from Steak n Shake, where he was vice president of supply chain management. Prior to that position, he was vice president of supply chain management for Arby’s cooperative purchasing. He also spent more than 14 years working in supply chain management and logistics for McDonald’s Corp.

“Fazoli’s has embarked on an aggressive program to rebuild and grow the brand,” says Howard.

“Monte and Scott both bring us a strong combination of experience and skills that will help us achieve our goals.”

Jump says Fazoli’s recent menu innovations have positioned it for growth. “If a guest has not visited Fazoli’s in a while, they are going to be very surprised and impressed by the great new menu items, ranging from baked entrees to sandwiches and salads.”

Deibert says he also is impressed by Fazoli’s passion for food. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with a highly talented group of individuals, and I look forward to serving our system and further enhancing its profitability, quality and growth.”
