Firehouse Subs, the fast-casual restaurant chain with more than 900 locations nationwide, announced that its restaurants nationwide will start accepting Android Pay, a convenient mobile payment service that enables Android users to seamlessly tap and pay with their phones. To use Android Pay in a store, guests simply unlock their phone and hold it near the contactless terminal to complete payment.
Security is at the center of Android Pay so actual credit card or debit card numbers aren’t sent with payment information. Instead, Android Pay uses a virtual account number that provides an extra layer of security. As soon as a purchase is made, users receive payment confirmation that shows where a given transaction happened, so it’s easy to catch any suspicious activity.
“Firehouse Subs is continuously looking for ways to innovate and improve our business, and we’re thrilled to adopt Android Pay in all of our locations,” says Vince Burchianti, CFO, Firehouse of America LLC. “With mobile payment systems growing in popularity, Android Pay helps position Firehouse Subs as a leader in the fast casual industry, providing our guests a more convenient and secure checkout experience.”
