Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries will open its first Florida location with master franchisee Irene Jung. The new restaurant, slated to open in November, will be located in The Shops at Boca Grove in Boca Raton, Florida. Earlier this year, Jung signed a master franchise agreement with Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries to
open a total of 50 units throughout the state of Florida. Development is also underway for Jung’s second restaurant, slated to open in March of 2011, which will be located at Colonial Landing in Orlando, Florida.
The Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries concept has seven locations open in Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and California and 152 units in development in Virginia, Georgia, California, Michigan, and New Jersey.
Jung plans to open two corporate locations in South Florida and then begin franchising the rest of the state. She will focus on Miami Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Orange Counties for initial development.
“Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries is the here and now of fast food,” Jung says. “Everything is fresh and made to order. I’m thrilled to open our first corporate stores in Boca Raton and Orlando, and then begin franchising around the state. Florida is ready for a better tasting, more authentic burgers and fries experience.”
Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries has expanded rapidly in the U.S., attracting several restaurant industry veterans, including the former CEO of Caribou Coffee and former COO of Jersey Mike’s. With a successful partner in place for the entire state of Florida, Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries will continue to expand its global vision with a development focus in Europe, Asia, and the rest of the Americas.
