Fitlife Foods, a Florida-based performance, lifestyle, and weight loss brand known for its perfectly portioned, indulgent, made from scratch meals for performance-minded individuals announced its plans to open its first store in the Sarasota region on April 27. The new store is 1,059 square feet and will be located on University Parkway across from the University Town Center Mall. It will be the 14th location in the state of Florida.

Fitlife Foods gives customers an easy and convenient way to meal prep and plan for the week without the stress. With its healthy, premade meals, Fitlife Foods is a great option for everyone—from busy families on-the-go, health minded singles and those looking to improve their overall well-being without having to sacrifice flavor. Meals such as Chicken Enchiladas, BBQ Beef with Mac ‘N Cheese and the gluten free Chicken Pizza Supreme are some of Fitlife Foods’ most popular items. Orders can be placed online or picked up at any location. Customers can also have meals delivered directly to their doorsteps with pre-planned delivery for added convenience.

“Being able to bring all-natural, healthy meal options to the Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch and University Park communities is something we are proud of and look forward to doing in other cities down the road,” says David Osterweil, the founder of Fitlife Foods. “With more than sixty-five menu items to choose from and access to wellness coaches through Project U, consumers can get customized health tips and wellness digits (how many calories their body burns at rest each day) that will provide people information to live a healthier life.”

Fitlife Foods’ menu prices range from $3—$13 and feature gluten-free, vegetarian, paleo and low-carb options, with nutritional information printed right on the label. Fitlife Foods also has a recycling program that allows customers to eat a delicious and healthy meal and bring back 20 containers for a $10 credit to the store. The containers are “upcycled” into the hard, permanent plastics in the community, with the customer wasting nothing.

“At the end of the day, we want customers to get addicted about the way they feel,” says Osterweil. “We believe that the week has enough stresses packed into it and our goal at Fitlife Foods is to turn meal occasions during the week into something people look forward to and help save time. By stocking up on Sundays and Mondays to prepare for the week, you are giving your body “food credit” for weekend indulgences.”

Fitlife Foods is the second largest exclusive prepared meals retailer in the country and the largest in the Southeast with ten locations throughout the Tampa area, two in Orlando and two in South Florida.

The grand opening will take place on April 27 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 10:45 a.m. Guests are welcome to stop by and check out the new location on April 27 and will receive a complimentary meal, wellness sessions, store tours and Fitlife prize giveaways. Fitlife Food’s Head Chef, Andrew Ruga will be doing live cooking demos from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
