Flippers Pizzeria is expanding its menu offerings and increasing the customer- friendliness of all its locations, enhancing its already reputable brand.
Orlando pizza favorite Flippers Pizzeria announces a variety of new menu items following a year of expansion and innovation.
After a busy year that included the addition of expanded catering services, interior improvements like free wireless Internet access and flat-screen TVs in stores, new t-shirt designs for sale at all locations, and an expanded wine and beer offering, Flippers also has future plans to release an iPhone application and mobile website.
One of Flippers Pizzeria's newest offerings includes the Roasted Chicken Caprese Flatbread, served on rustic artisan or whole wheat bread. This flatbread features sundried tomato pesto, succulent chicken breast, roasted red peppers, fresh Mozzarella, and basil that is chopped fresh every morning.
New Flippers Specialty Pizzas include the Vesuvio Pizza, which features Flippers new fresh oregano topping, and the Margherita Pizza, offered on either traditional, Neapolitan, or seasoned thick crust. The new Margherita Pizza features fresh Mozzarella cheese, extra virgin olive oil, fresh chopped basil and San Marzano tomatoes.
"These new San Marzano tomatoes continue our 25-year tradition of continually evolving and improving our menu so that we only use the finest, highest quality ingredients available," says a Flippers executive.
Imported from Italy, these special tomatoes (that are DOP-certified) are only allowed to be grown in the present commune of San Marzano, in the shadow of Italy's rich volcanic soil surrounding Mount Vesuvius.
"Many chefs consider San Marzano-grown tomatoes the best tomatoes in the world," says a Flippers executive.
"Adding this new ingredient to our restaurants makes us very proud, and we are excited to now offer this rare tomato variety to our customers."
For customers interested in brick-fired sandwiches, Flippers Pizzeria's new menu features the new Roasted Tomato Flat, topped with fresh Mozzarella cheese, roasted tomatoes, fresh basil, and sundried tomato pesto. And when customers are ready for dessert, they can try out a tasty slice of Flippers Pizzeria's new Cherry Cheesecake or Fudgie Dark Chocolate Cake.
These new menu items are part of a 25th anniversary year that will be full of upcoming improvements and expansion opportunities for the brand. Soon, a new Flippers mobile application and website will be released along with a new location in The Villages of Central Florida opening later this Spring.
