Foodservice Supplier Recognized for Produce Product

    Industry News | October 9, 2009
Reser’s, a retail and foodservice manufacturer, was one of only 12 suppliers across the nation to be honored in U.S. Foodservice’s first-annual vendor recognition program.

More than 700 companies competed for recognition. Reser’s took home top honors in the produce product category.

“Reser’s is thrilled to be in such great company,” says Peter Sirgy, vice president of sales and marketing for Reser’s. “Being recognized along with other premiere firms such as Cambell’s Soup Company and Georgia Pacific is quite an honor. We look forward to continuing to serve the foodservice community.”

Vendors were evaluated by 60 U.S. Foodservice divisions and the Monarch Food Group support office on 10 criteria: food safety, product quality, sales growth in the independent sector, gross margin improvement, merchandising support, divisional sales support, logistics, national account support, USF-exclusive brands, and business friendliness.

“Our recognition program honors exceptional suppliers who help U.S. Foodservice and our customers prosper in all aspects of our business," says Pat Mulhern, president, Monarch Food Group.
