Grilledandlonely.com received the “Best Digital Direct” award at the 2009 DPAC Awards in New York City. The DPAC Awards honor overall excellence and breakthrough achievement in Digital Publishing and Advertising, and are presented by DM2, the publishers of digiday:DAILY.

Created by The Marlin Company and executed by Marlin Network affiliate The Alchemedia Project for Bush Brothers Foodservice, Grilled & Lonely is a microsite that allows foodservice operators to find “true sidemates” for their proteins. The site operates similarly to dating services like Match.com and eHarmony.com, allowing operators to search and browse according to certain characteristics.

“Winning the DPAC award just reaffirms our decision in appointing the Marlin Company to be our foodservice marketing agency earlier this year,” says Erik Henry, director of Foodservice for Bush Brothers & Company. “They have some of the most creative and can-do people I’ve ever seen.
