Mooyah franchisee Aaron White is a lot of things to a lot of people. He’s the successful owner of the Richardson and Allen Mooyahs, a loving husband, a father of three young children, and a former U.S. Marine. He’s also the franchisee behind the second Mooyah in Denton, Texas scheduled to open October 31.

The new Denton restaurant will be at 2530 West University Drive, Suite 1100 in Rayzor Ranch Marketplace at the corner of highways 35 and 380. White chose the location because it’s close to the University of North Texas, Texas Woman’s University, and the new Presbyterian Hospital. Rayzor Ranch is a mixed use development with retail, residential, office, medical, culture, hotel, and entertainment venues.

“Denton is a great community, and it’s a perfect time to expand and bring in a new Mooyah restaurant. Denton residents are already in love with the better burgers and delicious fries that we are known for, but they also enjoy the friendly neighborhood feeling in our restaurants. That is something we are really proud of,” says White.

The new location will be fully updated with Mooyah’s newest bells and whistles, including a special communal seating area and front counter where guests can be a part of their made-to-order meals. Created with Denton college students in mind, the new restaurant also boasts a soft seating area with lounge chairs and free wireless Internet. Additionally, the new Mooyah is creating about 30 jobs. When asked what kind of person he looks for in a new hire, White laughed, “Smiley people!”

Smiley people are already hard at work serving the best burgers, fries, and shakes at White’s Richardson and Allen Mooyahs. His wife handles the accounting for the businesses, and his three children participate by weighing in on their favorite burgers and taste testing to make sure every French fry is up to Mooyah’s highest standards.

Several of the restaurant staff at the new Denton restaurant are college students from nearby University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University. And, true to Mooyah’s commitment to its guests, White plans to host frequent fundraisers and spirit nights for Denton area schools, churches, and community organizations.

“Mooyah is a great organization because it’s a family friendly business that emphasizes the importance of community. Whether it’s the local high school soccer team or an organization that supports America’s heroes and their families, Mooyah believes in community,” says White.
