Results Thru Strategy (RTS), a leading consulting company for the hospitality industry, announced that James Greco, an award-winning executive, has joined the consulting consortium as Partner. The veteran executive, who has led emerging brands and turned around legacy chains, will assist client companies with operations reengineering, strategic planning and brand positioning.
“Jim is a very well respected restaurant executive with a proven track record of success across brands of all sizes, driving sales, unit growth and EBITDA,” says Fred LeFranc, founder and managing partner at Results Thru Strategy. “Jim is an excellent addition to our consortium, comprised of hospitality executives that provide unmatched industry insight and a step-by-step roadmap to address our clients’ diverse needs.”
“I’m very excited to be joining RTS,” Greco says. “I look forward to applying the skills I have acquired over 30 years to help even more companies, their management teams and owners.”
Most recently, Greco gets credit for accelerating growth at Newk’s while COO. Under his leadership, the next-generation fast-casual chain implemented new reporting systems and improved its management team, thus bolstering sales, unit count and EBITDA. Earlier, as chief executive of Sbarro, a leading Italian quick-service concept, he executed a strategic plan based on product improvement, brand revitalization and franchise development.
Prior to Sbarro, Greco partnered with Sun Capital to acquire Bruegger’s Enterprises. As its CEO, he engineered a successful turnaround, producing 20 consecutive quarters of positive same-store sales and more than tripling EBITDA. When Bruegger’s was sold, ownership earned 13 times its investment.
Greco has also held senior management positions with Fieldbrook Farms, a manufacturer of private label ice cream and frozen desserts, and Natural Country Farms, a manufacturer of private label and food service fruit juices.
Greco is an attorney and a member of the Connecticut and Florida bars. He has also served on numerous company and non-profit boards, including Fazoli’s Restaurants, Share Our Strength Restaurant Group, the Connecticut and Palm Beach County Food Banks, and the International Dairy Foods Association.
