Smalls Sliders, the trending cheeseburger slider concept founded by Brandon Landry, is opening its latest Can in Metairie on February 1. 

The new location is owned by Drew Brees, Jason Loezel and Ben Smith. Drew is an early investor in the industry-disrupting QSR brand. The Metairie Can is situated at 4580 Veterans Blvd and features convenient drive-thru and walk-up ordering options. The grand opening will be celebrated with an official ribbon cutting hosted by the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce at 10 a.m on February 1. Plus, the first 100 guests will receive a coveted pair of free Smalls-branded slides.

“We’ve seen the excitement surrounding the Smalls brand, and it has only heightened around our grand opening,” says Melissa Kernaghan, director of operations at Boilermaker Ventures and local operator of the Smalls Sliders in Metairie. “Smalls has become a staple within Louisiana communities, and people truly feel connected to the brand. We aim to continue building upon the Smalls fanbase within Metairie and look forward to becoming an integral part of people’s lives.”

This is Brees’ first Smalls Sliders location and is the first of 40 Can openings slated for 2024 across the Southeast, with additional Cans opening in Gonzales and Siegen in the coming months.
