Franchise Update Media Group (FUMG), the leading industry resource for franchise development, announced that Sean Falk, multibrand franchise owner and former Marine, is the chairman of the 2013 Multi-Unit Franchising Conference, which will be held March 27–29 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Falk began his career in franchising 14 years ago, after serving in the Marine Corps for five years, where he rose to the rank of Captain.

The upcoming conference is the largest multiunit franchisee event in the United States, and attendance for 2013 is expected to exceed 1,200 attendees, representing more than 200 brands.

Featuring more than 60 multiunit franchisees as speakers, panelists, and facilitators, the conference offers a unique opportunity for attendees to network, share ideas, and learn new ways to drive profitability and grow their brands.

Keynote speakers Captain Mark Kelly, commander of the space shuttle Endeavour’s final mission, and No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Peter Guber, will share their expert insights into “Driving Profitability,” which is the conference theme.

“The Multi-Unit Franchising Conference fills a void,” Falk says. “It teaches and trains franchisees about multiunit ownership. At the conference, there is the knowledge base for wherever you are in the spectrum of ownership. As a result, year-over-year attendance at the conference has been expanding, even during the deep recession we just came through.

“The peer-to-peer contact with other multiunit franchisees is invaluable,” Falk continues. “You will receive so much—both resources and education—you can’t possibly learn on your own. And the content the conference has to offer is premium; no other conference in the nation covers this type and range of content. The Advisory Board, composed of multiunit franchisees, develops programming that will be valuable to multiunit operators from all industries and sizes.”
