Franchise Professionals Inc. announced that Larry Carnell joined the company as senior vice president of business development. Carnell has more than 30 years of executive management, training, and lecturing experience in the business and franchise communities, most recently founding FranCastle Enterprises, a management consulting firm for the franchise community and other businesses. Earlier this month, Franchise Professionals launched, a social media network focused solely on the franchise industry. The online community provides members access to a variety of networking, educational, financial, and industry resources.

Prior to founding FranCastle, Carnell served as vice president of business development for BeneTrends Incorporation where he was instrumental in helping the company to more than triple its revenue in less than a three-year period. He also served as senior management consultant and trainer at Administaff, national director of franchise development at Floor Coverings International, and regional manager and national trainer at AAMCO.

In addition to managing his own consulting firm, Carnell is an advisory council member for the Franchise Brokers Association, vendor advisory committee member for the National Association of Guaranteed Government Lenders, and serves in several other leadership and volunteer roles for several other organizations. During his career, he has received numerous awards, including the National Franchisor Star award as a national director of franchise development and the President’s Club Management Consultant Award. Carnell has also achieved the International Business Brokers Association’s highest certification designation as a certified business intermediary and national certification as a certified franchise broker. He is also a frequent speaker, lecturer, panelist, and moderator at many national conventions and associations such as the IFA, IBBA, NAGGL, and SCORE. Carnell graduated from the University of Memphis with bachelor’s degrees in marketing and accountancy.
