Freddy’s Opens First Store in Houston Metro

Construction is complete and Freddy’s newest location is opening in Texas. You can find Freddy’s at 15518 E. Hwy 529/Spencer Road in the Copperfield Crossing Center in Houston. This is the first Freddy’s in the Houston metro area, and the franchise group has impressive plans for growth in the market.

Operator Padden Nelson is working on a deal for a second location near the Eldridge shopping district and signed a development agreement outlining 30 more stores over the next 10 years. The opening in Houston brings the nationwide count for Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers to 66.

“Freddy’s has been a great fit for Texas with our restaurants in Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio,” says Freddy’s COO Scott Redler.

A local crew of nearly 60 staff members has been on-site training for three days and hosted a friends and family welcome event Saturday to ready the team. The freestanding restaurant offers indoor and patio seating as well as drive-thru service.
