Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers announced the winners of its National Frozen Custard Day MVP promotion, and awarded winners with a $100 gift card to the restaurant.
Freddy’s asked its fans around the U.S. to submit ultimate fan photos for which their friends and family could vote. The sole fan from each Freddy’s location whose photo received the largest number of votes was crowned the MVP of their local Freddy’s restaurant. In addition to the local MVPs, Jason Demmi from Katy, Texas, was crowned the national MVP for Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers and collected an additional $250 Freddy’s gift card. The winning photo garnered more than 200 votes and is featured on Freddy’s social media platforms.
“We are very fortunate to have developed loyal fans who are passionate about our premium frozen custard,” says COO Scott Redler. “With 30 toppings and flavored syrups to mix with or top our delicious chocolate or vanilla custard, we invite you to stop in and celebrate this enjoyable national day with us.”
In the U.S., frozen custard can be traced to Coney Island, New York, and was introduced to the Midwest at the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago. Frozen custard resembles ice cream but is richer and creamier thanks to a time-tested churning process that minimizes ice crystals and excess air.
