McDonald’s is launching Mocha Mondays, where consumers can cool off with a complimentary 7 oz. Iced Mocha or indulge in a 8 oz. Hot Mocha each Monday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at participating McDonald’s restaurants from July 13 through August 3.
“This is one of the largest sampling initiatives we’ve taken on as a company,” says Neil Golden, chief marketing officer, McDonald’s USA.
“McCafe has already become an essential part of our customers’ everyday routine, and now we are giving even more people an opportunity to enjoy a complimentary, fully-customizable McCafe Mocha morning, noon and night.”
Starting July 13 through July 26, consumers can also log on to www.mcdonalds.com/mccafe to vote on who they think is deserving of a $50,000 Visa Gift card and $500 McDonald’s Arch Card as part of the McCafe Your Day Contest and Sweepstakes from McDonald’s and Visa.
An independent panel reviewed more than 12,000 entries and chose five semi-finalists whose stories people can now read online to help decide which two should take home the two coveted grand prizes. All five finalists will each receive a $1,000 Visa Gift card and a $50 McDonald’s Arch Card.
The Mocha Monday promotional sizes will not be available on other days of the week. Prices for McCafe Coffees will vary by restaurant and region and can be paid for with cash, McDonald’s Arch Cards, or other forms of cashless payment options at the drive-thru or in restaurant.
