FREEBIRDS Feeds Tornado Victims and Volunteers

FREEBIRDS World Burrito, with locations in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma, fed 500 volunteers and nearby residents near the command center in Moore on Sunday. FREEBIRDS World Works, the charity arm of the popular burrito chain, partnered with Feed The Children in order to serve hundreds of volunteers who were distributing much needed supplies to the victims in Moore, Oklahoma. FREEBIRDS team members also drove around and fed residents of Moore who were still trying to salvage items from their destroyed homes.

“It’s important to us to be a part of our local communities,” says Annette Beavers, FREEBIRDS World Works director. “Every little bit helps, and if we can put a smile on people’s faces during times like these, we’ve made a difference.”

“When we band together, it reminds us of how much we are true to our mission of ‘Feed your belly, Feed your soul,’” says Bryan Lockwood, CEO of FREEBIRDS.

If we all stick together in times like this the world would be a better place. Lend a hand whenever you can, you will feel special.
