Freebirds has named Gerardo Arce as the company’s new vice president of finance. Arce joins Freebirds from the Fiesta Restaurant Group, where he previously served as vice president of finance alongside operations, marketing and development to support the Taco Cabana and Pollo Tropical brands.

Arce will be leading the finance and accounting departments at Freebirds, while working closely with the rest of the leadership team in supporting the brand’s nearly 100 restaurants. Arce will also play an important role in Freebirds’ first southeast location, which is slated to open in Nashville, Tennessee, later this year.

“We are thrilled to have Gerardo join the Freebirds’ Tribe,” says chairman Charles B. Lewis. “With more than 15 years of financial management expertise in our industry, Arce is suited to make an immediate contribution to the company. Together, the leadership team will continue to explore new opportunities to expand and enhance the brand, and Arce’s appointment is an important commitment to this effort.”

As Freebirds approaches a significant milestone next year as the brand turns 30, the award-wining company remains committed to a passion for people and food. Freebirds  introduced its first food truck this year (#FBStreetKitchen), and will soon open Freebirds’ inaugural Tennessee restaurant in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville. Fanatics can keep up with the latest culinary creations and rewards opportunities with the Freebirds App, which also enables customers easy online ordering.
