Yoforia, having established a frozen yogurt presence in Atlanta, announced that it is expanding outside of the Georgia and opening two new stores this winter in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The neighborhoods of South Charlotte and Myers Park have been chosen as the locations for the rollout of Yoforia Frozen Yogurt in North Carolina. The new stores will be located in existing shopping centers of Selwyn Corners and The Shops at Piper Glen. Each store opening will bring 10 new job opportunities to the area. Yoforia will infuse its traditional 1,200 square-foot locations with its signature bright orange and green colors and clean, modern design.
Founded in 2007, Yoforia expanded to three locations within one year with plans for two more metro Atlanta openings in 2009.
At 25 calories per ounce, Yoforia’s frozen yogurt is made of organic milk and yogurt and touts a “sweet yet tart” flavor. Yoforia offers four flavors in its “low-cal” lineup: original, pomegranate, dark chocolate, and mango. Toppings range from seasonal fruit to granola, breakfast cereal favorites, and popular cookies. Both stores in Charlotte will feature self-serve yogurt machines and topping stations, which will enable customers to create a personalized Yoforia treat.
“We are excited to introduce Yoforia to a new audience—Atlanta has been so good to us and we know that Charlotte will receive us just as enthusiastically,” says Jun Kim, director of operations and expansion at Yoforia.
