The Social Order Dining Collective has brought Oklahoma City some of the most popular eateries. They are responsible for the innovation of food lovers behind Seven47, The Jones Assembly, formerly Texadelphia Social Grill, and of course, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop.
Over the years Fuzzy’s Taco Shop has easily become The Social Order’s bread and butter. The group is now budding with seven Oklahoma locations and an 8th on the horizon coming to Yukon in the spring of 2021. However, these statewide locations wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the risk co-founders of The Social Order, Brian Bogert and Manny Leclercq, took in Norman 10 years ago. Fuzzy’s Taco Shop opened on OU’s Campus Corner on October 26, 2010, and has been serving up some of the best tacos and margaritas ever since.
After opening Texadelphia in Norman, OK in 2003, Brian Bogert and Manny Leclercq were approached by another Texas brand, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. The Fort Worth based taco shop caught wind of what Bogert and Leclercq were doing and knew they were the guys to help break Fuzzy’s into the Oklahoma market. The Campus Corner location was the 16th store in the Fuzzy’s franchise at the time, and have since gone on to open locations in Bricktown, Stillwater, Edmond, Chisholm Creek, Moore and Midwest City. The franchise as a whole now encompasses nearly 150 locations nationwide. Bogert and Leclercq knew they were onto something good with Fuzzy’s and have spent the past 10 years making it a household name in the Oklahoma metro.
To commemorate 10 great years in Norman, and Oklahoma for that matter, there will be a week-long celebration at the Campus Corner Fuzzy’s Taco Shop location. Longtime guests may remember crawfish tacos from the original menu, and next week they will get the chance to enjoy them again. Classic Crawfish Taceaux with homemade remoulade sauce will be offered alongside $3 margaritas. It will be a birthday party like no other and all are invited. Come out to celebrate Monday, October 26 – Friday, October 30.
