Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill announced it has introduced a whole wheat laffa wrap and gluten-free pita to its nationwide menu offerings. Guests now have the option of ordering wheat, white, or gluten-free pita, or a whole wheat or white laffa wrap.

The pre-baked, gluten-free pita is provided by MyBread Bakery, a 100-percent dedicated gluten- and nut-free wholesale bakery in Chicago. Garbanzo tested the gluten-free pita in three Colorado locations in November 2013 and received very positive guest feedback.

With made-from-scratch items and a nearly 90 percent gluten-free menu, Garbanzo is known for healthful meals that also cater to guests with food allergies or sensitivities. The new whole wheat laffa provides a more fiber-rich option, while the gluten-free pita offers gluten-intolerant guests a bread alternative.

“We are always interested in providing healthy options that enable guests to customize their meals specifically to their dietary needs or preferences,” says Alon Mor, Garbanzo founder, president, and CEO. “Our addition of whole wheat laffa wraps and gluten-free pita help customers do just that. We are very happy to introduce these two new baked goods to our menu.”

Garbanzo offers guests a variety of authentic Mediterranean items with an emphasis on flavor, freshness, and quality, as well as a healthy trans-fat free menu. Guests have the ability to customize every meal with items such as pita, laffa, falafel, shwarma, hummus, seasoned rice, sauces, and dressings.
