Gatti’s Pizza is rolling out take-and-bake pizzas as a permanent addition to its menu and launching the concept just in time for Halloween festivities with themed versions from October 23 to October 31.
The pizzas are available in two shapes, “Jack,” a jack-o-lantern-shaped pizza and “Frank,” a Frankenstein-shaped pizza. The pizzas will be prepared fresh daily and wrapped on a tray with cooking instructions. Customers can order online and pick up at their nearest location. It’s another Gatti’s slice of the growing $44 billion pizza industry blending the best of takeout with fresh-out-of-the-oven pizza.
“It was an idea that was spooky good,” says Michael Poates, president of the Fort-Worth based chain. “The take-and-bake product allows our guests to enjoy Gatti’s pizza on their own time by baking it fresh in their oven at home. With Halloween being one of the busiest pizza delivery nights of the year, we thought it was the perfect time to debut this product. Skip the wait, pick up the pizza at a time that works for you, have it ready to go that evening, and then the kids can trick-or-treat.”
Gatti’s pizza is made with the freshest ingredients: tomatoes fresh-packed four hours from harvest and steam-peeled; dough made fresh by hand daily and allowed to rise twice; and smoked Provolone cheese. Pizza is prepared in a copper tiled, stone fired rotary deck oven.
This is just one of the exciting announcements from the Gatti’s Pizza brand since being purchased two years ago. The company has opened a record number of corporate-owned locations, including five DFW-area locations featuring new Gatti’s prototypes and will open the first franchise in seven years in Killeen, TX early next year.
