On Dec. 11, Genghis Grill will mark the beginning of the first ever social media-driven music tour, Genghis Live. Local city bands that want to perform must upload their music video onto GenghisGrillTV.com and from there, fans will vote for their favorite bands.

The top four will be chosen to play based on the most Likes and Tweets on GenghisGrillTV.com. During the event date, the bands perform and the crowd is invited to Check In on Foursquare, Tweet, and Like their favorite band. A $500 cash prize goes to the band with the most Likes on Facebook and the most Tweets with #GenghisLive.

The first stop for the music tour will be Saturday, Dec. 11, in Dallas at the Genghis Grill in the Uptown area off Lemmon Ave. where local Dallas bands will show off their talents.

Also, to usher in the holiday season, Genghis Grill will donate 15 percent of the event's sales to the North Texas Food Bank, making sure that those in need will have a meal to enjoy.

Three more stops for the Genghis Live tour will be held in Houston, Atlanta, and Austin, Texas, which will be held during the legendary South By Southwest Tour. Future dates will be announced.
